Home Shores is a “Winner’

Home Shores is a WINNER

Beyond thrilled for my book Home Shores, it is a winner in the ‘Single Topic Cookery Book’ category at The Guild of Food Writer’s Awards on Wednesday. Thank you so much this means so much to me.

It took me 10 years to get my first book Sea & Shore commissioned, through rejection I never gave up, consistently working hard towards my dream of becoming a food writer.

Writing has always been a way of preserving stories, bringing you a sense of place and most of all inspiring you to cook. To have my work recognised by The Guild of Food Writers is a tremendous honour.

Thank you to everyone who has supported my writing, read my books, shared my stories, and encouraged me along the way. This award belongs to all of you as much as it does to me.

Moments

I had such a wonderful evening at the Guild of Food Awards, celebrating the incredible talent and passion that make the food world so special. It was a fantastic event, full of inspiring people, great conversations and some truly delicious food and wine.

What made the night even more memorable was spending it with friends. Sharing the evening with the talented Lauren Brook, Kathy Slack and Carolyn Boyd France Traveller made the whole evening even more wonderful.
