Happy New Year to you all!
Thank you so much for being here with me. How are you? I hope you celebrated in style and are feeling good. I am feeling excited as I head into the New Year. Travel is very much part of my life as I return to the Caribbean and the wonderful world of Calypso Grill. I will bring you more recipes and stories from the beautiful Cayman Islands over the next few months. As I spend more time on island learning more about the culture, way of life and food.
Never far from my mind is our home in France I return to Bordeaux in Spring with updates on our renovation recipes and stories from my french kitchen. I have started scribbling kitchen notes for more future writing as ideas and inspiration fill my mind.
Reflecting on 2024 it was certainly a busy year of moving, travelling and everything in between. Finding my feet and a new routine and getting use to that “empty nest” as my children pursue their dreams and opportunities. Parenting a constant sense of holding on and letting go 🤍 All the emotions.
This summer I also turn 50 which I am very much looking forward to celebrating. For now I leave you with the promise of so much and a recipe or two and oh the joy of toast. See you next week from the Caribbean.

A book from start to finish is a long process and I have had many moments along the way I have felt frustrated and stuck creatively.
