Hello to you all my lovely subscribers! How are you? As ever I am always thrilled to be bringing you my weekly news and glimpses into my world. Weekend sunshine and all the colour. Home to Cornwall for a few days has been so wonderful. A time to catch up with my family and friends and being able to reflect on our french adventure and embracing all the changes this year. This week I write about my deep rooted french connections and what they feel like to me.
This time of year preserving the rich pickings of the season is a wonderful way to spend some of your spare time. Jellies, jams, pickles and compotes, for me the process of preserving is life enhancing. I share with you three of my favourite preserving recipes this week.
I am excited to announce I have become a Patron of the National Lobster Hatchery in Padstow to find out more read on.

The French Connection
Carefree days in France, where it all began, where I found my love for seasonal cooking, a sense of place and belonging. “A table” would be heard growing up as a call to the table, more than just a seat, all the excitement of coming together. Whatever the time of year one of the most joyful things is sharing food with the ones you love.
This week I will take you with me as I reminisce through my memories of France as a child. Interestingly Cornwall has reminded me in many ways of a similar lifestyle and way of life to that of my early days.
